End of One Era ~ 15 Mar 2015

This coming week we end one long-term astrological era - that of Uranus and Pluto in those testy squares. Did the world end? Nope. Did Planet X arrive? Nope. Did we see economic collapse and global fiscal shenanigans? No and yes, but it depends on who you ask. Did we see the rise of revolutionary forces that seemingly came out of no where? Well, there’s ISIS/ISL and all that they represent.

But there’s something else less obvious in the Uranus-Pluto pattern: the loss of personal privacy and the right to have confidential information (Pluto) due to electronics (Uranus, the Internet and those pesky drones). This may be the single most significant manifestation of this transit. We don’t need another dang gadget (smart watch), we need clarity about the gaggle created by our gadgets.

This past week, polishing off the last of the Uranus-Pluto squares, we saw an e-mail controversy resulting from someone who did it “my way” regarding e-mail server usage in perfect harmony with Uranus in Aries. Some say she broke laws. Some say she broke rules. Others contend there were only guidelines in place. We saw the reaction to the recent release of the Oscar-winning documentary Citizen Four as it hit cable airwaves. This film details the actions, motives and subsequent alienation of Edward Snowden. No matter what you think of Snowden, the documentary is compelling and it could shift your perspective. Then again, maybe not.

In other news, with Mars to Uranus in square to Pluto, lord of the underworld and all in it, lava erupted from volcanos in Costa Rica and Chile.

Following the theme of they did it my way, Republican Senators in the United States took it upon themselves to write a letter to the leadership of Iran, telling them not to continue in nuclear negotiations with the United States because as soon as President Obama is gone, it will be undone anyway, successfully pounding the drums of war. Yes, they are quite proud of their “did it my way,” “went rogue” moment, however, the paint is not dry on that mural.

This upcoming week there is even more as Pluto and Uranus square off for the last time in this cycle this coming week.

Uranus can be contentious, cranky and so hell bent on individuality and nonconformity, perspective is gone. When adversely reacting to Pluto’s power plays, Uranus leans to engaging in activities that are contrary to ultimate objectives. Labels get applied to Uranus. The labels include, but are not limited to, “difficult to work with,” “unpredictable as hell,” “scary crazy,” “impulsive fool.” As well, the recent alignment of Mars to Uranus induced impulsive, impetuous acts that lacked long-range vision and perception of collective consequence.

This next week as the ingress of Aries arrives all perky and fresh, Mars will be aligned with Eris, the goddess of discord, a lover of mayhem, and plot twist story consultant. Mars rules Aries, so the fact that Ares (Aries) and Eris often stirred boiling pots together is a total mixed bag. Here’s a bottom line point: if one seeks to be a part of improving the collective consciousness and a contributing member of society in an enlightened, altruistic manner, then any emotional edge and cusp of contention must be set aside.

This brings to mind a writer I know from blog posts on a film industry website. No doubt she’s a good writer. She has won many awards. However, the chips on her shoulders and razor sharpness of everything she posts runs well beyond the redline of pissed-off person with a major attitude and emotionally addicted to such a state of being. Every effort she makes to be included in forums, networking meetings and the overall objective, selling a script, is thwarted by her nasty vitriol. Nothing can be offered in reply without receiving a rabid response.

A point of guidance for the Mars duet of transits: stay out the way of trolls. Remember that “haters” are what they are and grant them the right to stew in their psychic sewage without your input. They’re where they are, and like Eris stimulated by Mars, not ready to see that putting it out there in the way they do induces the isolation they moan about constantly.

The upside of Mars to Eris this week, is to promote the concept of creating alternative points of view, shifts in perspective - as if donning a new set of eyes - such that everything can be seen differently. With significant shifts in perspective, solutions to long-standing issues organically appear. Shifts in a view point out that often those that sought to do one thing and accomplished another thing not in alignment with original objectives might do well to retool the action agenda model.

Dust off that copy of Dead Poet’s Society. Jump onto the symbolic desktop of your life and see things differently. With those fresh eyes, put an end to the era of the doom and gloom forecasts for Uranus square Pluto. Get rid of flawed concepts one and for all... Planet X/Nibiru would be a good one for the trash heap, for instance. Stop thinking “be fruitful and multiply” when reservoirs in California have enough water for only one year. And oh, by the way, work for a perspective of climate change that is not politically driven or energy industry favoring.

Personally, break habits that do not feed objectives. Stay clear on your plan. Without impulse, pull the trigger on your long-standing life-enhancing campaigns. Get on board with your favorite “save the world” agenda. Contribute in a positive way. Offer solutions to ensure you’re not simply creating problems by your activism should it accent the negative and in so doing, reduce the number of those precious social media followers. Accomplish on the aspiration side of things.

Then, get ready for the next, enormously significant cycle that seeks to shift global consciousness. It’s just around the time-curve and over the next horizon. In 2017 we will be smack dab dealing with Uranus conjunct Eris in Aries - two of the most rebellious planetary influences putting their heads together to see if havoc can stir things up to the point of betterment. In case, you’re wondering, the last time this happened was in 1927 - 1928.

My objective in the next weeks is to come up with a significant SkyScraping regarding Uranus to Eris. This is a big burrito of an aspect, and I’ll do what I can to bring forth a whole enchilada of preparation, perspective polarized with green and red sauce. This aspect will be here before you know it. Mars, last week conjunct Uranus, and this next week aligning with Eris, is the movie trailer preview of this huge aspect’s era ahead. Take notes. Be inspired. See things alternatively. Summon the positive and contributive to the upswing in consciousness and start rocking!

More soon.
